Cinnamon Rolls


Cinnamon Rolls
1/4 c warm water
1/4 c butter, melted
1/2 small box instant vanilla pudding
1 c warm milk
1 egg, room temperature
1 T sugar
1/2 t salt
4 c bread flour
2 t yeast

1/4 c butter, softened
1 c brown sugar
4 t cinnamon

4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 c butter, softened
1 c powder sugar
1/2 t vanilla
1 1/2 t milk
  • Combine yeast, water and sugar and let sit for 10 minutes. Add butter, milk, egg, pudding, and salt. Add 2 c flour. Mix using dough hook on stand mixer. Add flour 1/2 to 1 c at a time until dough is one large ball and sides of mixer are clean. Cover and let rise for 45 minutes.
  • Punch dough down. Let sit for 5 minutes. Roll into a 17x10 inch rectangle. Spread with softened butter. In a small bowl combine cinnamon and brown sugar. Sprinkle mixture over the dough.
  • Roll dough up, beginning with the long side. Slice into 12 slices and place in greased 9x13 pan.
  • Let rise for 20 minutes, then place in 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes.
  • While rolls bake, combine ingredients for frosting. Spread frosting on rolls while still warm.
